YES! people too compassionate (or whimpy in too many cases) to kill an animal should not eat meat! i cant bring myself to take a life, so i dont eat meat! props to you bowhunters, you have the skills to get close enough to the game, and the guts to take the life of your own food.
ha ha i have shot 4 deer before 3 point 8 point butten buck and my biggest just this year a 14teen point on a youth hunt from 70 yards away and i dropped him with my mozzoloader

take out some of them does to help balence the herd….also if you take does it will make the bucks look harder during the rut which may make that big boy come by your stand.
Everyone that complains about hunting needs to take a step back and realize that the Dallas Safari club donates more to wildlife conservation than WWF and PETA combined.
American deer hunters are responsible for more preservation of habitat than the Sierra Club.
The majority of the hunters in this country respect the environment and the animals that they kill. (I will not demean the animal by saying ‘harvest’) So, to PETA people, I say grow up and read a damn book not written by Marx or Mao.

FYI…this wasn’t my first deer. I took my first deer when I was 12…with my bow. I’m not even sure how many I’ve killed to date. I hunt to put meat in the freezer and for the sport of it. I let the little bucks walk…in search of larger ones. This permit was for a DOE ONLY…hmm…duh. If only the “kids” shot the does…there would be WAY too many out there. Herd management is everyone’s responsiblity. Including yours.

Nice!! I’m planning a hunting trip this coming fall to see if I can get a deer. It will be the grandest thing I’ll have ever done if I actually do manage to do it.

Hunting is strictly regulated to help the enviroment, not damage it. Going out and facing the challenge of hunting your own meat is a more ethical option than going to a grocery store and buying meat.I am sure most hunters have more appreciation and respect for life than you people do. At least people out hunting have the decency to kill an animal themselves. Its sure easy to say ” Im a good person becuase I just let someone else do the killing for me”.
