hackamore: why dont you just make the perfect field dressing video and post it yourself since your the leading expert on the subject and just wanna talk shit. good vid dave.

Dave nice video. I usually reach up inside and cut the trachea, esophogus and diaphram. Then I pick up the front legs and the guts just spill out. Takecare and keep the videos comming hunting.

check out my striped bass fishing videos.

i dont like to get bone marrow in the meat!

  6. fishnut89 says:

What about slicing the chest cavity , then picking up the deer so the guts will fall out?

marbleing and sinue is that like the on the beef ribs white film?
    {I have never cleaned a deer only watched some of process, just gutings not chopping.}
and the wild taste I was talking about is more of a bitter taste not from lack of clean, but because B.marrow was left on at field and not cleaned right away, it to can tant the flavor, I have tasted both best to take meat off bones unbroken ;.)

    3. lastly cutting the bone does not taint the meat . cleaning the game properly after field dressing will ensure this. you can watch my video posted on a doe I harvested and field dress in less than 5mins and did not cut a bone!

  11. journeytheoutdoors says:

1.actually the wild taste in venison comes from the sinue (sorry about the spelling) and the fat in the meat, it is also the marbling that you see in the meat remove those and you will have a lean clean taste piece of meat no different from beef.
    2. people often mistake the blood (beef liver like taste) for wild game taste, the cure is to hang the game for a extended period of time being 2weeks(with appropriate conditions) is not out of question.

  12. thinkladythink says:

I have been told that if you break the bones it could contaminate the meat with what they call the “wild taste”that changes the flavor, I have seen this done by people that hang up the deer over a bucket ; which makes alittle mess.. I was wondering if there is a way to do it like you just did without getting the bone marrow on the meat ?

huntin in ohio is the best i think!
i usually hunt in kentucky,, but we all go up to ohio to hunt off a guy we know twice a year… and its crazy how the huntin is up there.. i saw the biggest deer i ever saw down there,,, it was mounted though.. but i found a pretty good sized shed while i was hunting down there too

I really liked your channel and this video. If you need any help getting this video exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. Its nice.

There is software im using to send atleast 20,000 text message a day advertising my online business…it is amazing. I think they have a free demo to try as well autotextsender.(c0m) God Bless!

thanks for sharing good stuff man

  19. journeytheoutdoors says:

I had to quarter this deer to transport him!
I have a car and not a truck,
not to my dismay, he was to big to fit whole.
and to heavy for me to lift.
    so this is the answer!

    shoot straight,
    Dave

  20. husbandshunter13 says:

Dave….you got good videos but why would you wanna quarter you deer it makes no sense…..i know a lotta hunters including myself and ive never heard of such a thing.

    THE GREAT STATE OF OHIO!

  22. hackamore says:

Okay, all of these field dressing videos have problems. This one is as good as any, but needs to be redone with these changes:

    1) Have one person perform the commentary and another person do the actual dressing. There was too much huffing and puffing due to the guy being overweight and the fact that this is somewhat strenuous.

    2) Have a production manager to keep passersby from intruding into the video!

    3) Have a separate cameraman who can walk around the job and do closeups.

  23. NCI1984 says:

Just curious, what state are you from?
